literally actually the best tumblr post of 2013.

may we carry this piece of scripture for the reads of 2014 and beyond.

The last part just threw me over the edge hahaha

And on the seventh day, The Lord said, “You look dusty.”

This post kept me in school.

Kinky twists spotted on white models at Jeremy Scott’s runway show for his Moschino menswear SS’15 collection.

Not the least bit impressed by this blatant appropriation of a hairstyle worn by black women. I won’t even launch into a rant of any sort cause it’s just not worth my time.

i know a lot of my white followers/sisters irl don’t understand the big deal about hairstyle appropriation and I hate that I have to explain it because you’re not content with me saying that numerous Black women who are smarter than me are against it, but this type of shit is what I’m talking about. White girls with hair teased and twisted into a “kinky” style is HIGH FASHION and REVOLUTIONARY but Black women who wear their hair this way to protect it, or because this kind of style looks great with their natural hair texture (note: not teased to death by a stylist) are told they are unprofessional, “ghetto”, “ratchet”, etc. Black women in the US military aren’t allowed to wear their hair in twists or braids OR an afro, but white women on the runway can accessorize it to their heart’s content and you don’t see anything wrong with that?

That was beautifully articulated.
